Northern Illinois Tejano Cultural Society celebrated their 4th year as a Non-Profit Organization with their Annual Dance. This year was very successful from Recruiting New Members to celebrating events all year long to providing the best Tejano Entertainment. The NITCS promises to bring more Great Tejano Entertainment to the Midwest for their fifth year.

Just a recap of this years events:

NITCS will continue the tradition by it's Best Couple and Couple of the Year Award at 2003 Valentine's Dance.

NITCS continued the year by joining force with Fay's Bar B Que in their efforts to raise money for the organization and it's Scholarship Program. NITCS would combine with Fay's Bar B Que three times during the 2002 year to raise funds for the Scholarship Program.

NITCS celebrated another first by having their first annual Family Picnic. The Family Picnic's entertainment came from Aurora's very best Tejano DJ - Big Daddy Tejano. All the members were able to enjoy a great meal, entertainment and the Big Jumping Elephant for the kids. The members also enjoyed a dunk tank were member, Joel Castillo, was in the tank. Members bought tickets to try to dunk J.Castillo and many did. The members also joined together to a great game of Softball. We look forward to next year's Family Picnic.
